Hunt Description The Diamond Mountains Unit in northeastern Utah is well known to produce some exceptional trophy quality bull elk. Drawing this unit can be difficult facing low drawing odds and can take many years. If a hunter has gotten lucky in the drawing or built a sufficient number of points to guarantee the tag, this is a great hunt to consider.
This outfitter has exclusive access to a 12,000 acre private ranch that is used heavily by the elk on the Diamond Mountain unit. With access to this ranch comes a number of landowner vouchers that can be included in the cost of the hunt. Tax deductible conservation tags are also available. HuntersTrailhead can assist with the purchase of these conservation tags.
Archery hunts are in August to mid-September. The muzzleloader and rifle hunts are mid-September to early October. The bulls are usually bugling during this time making for a very exciting hunt.
Lodging is in a modern cabin set right on the ranch. You can be hunting immediately upon stepping out the door. This cabin has electricity and hot running water. Comfortable beds are available for each hunter.
