Many of these hunts are conduced via horseback miles from the nearest road and other hunters. He and his experienced guides operate their sheep camps in sheep units 4, 7, and 24 where they have established and maintained a very high success rate. They travel these hunting units end to end in their preseason scouting and a hunter would be hard pressed to find a sheep guide that knows the area better. If an elk guide or deer guide is what you are looking for, Trophy Mountain Outfitters offers fully guided hunts for those hunters that have drawn a general elk license or a region H deer license. Their elk hunting begins in early September with the archery hunt where they have built a track record of success. With the rut in full swing by mid month, the vast majority of their hunters are provided with at least one opportunity at a trophy bull. Even their rifle elk hunters have the rare opportunity to hunt during the rut as well, with that season opening the last week of September.

Region H is known by most dedicated mule deer hunters to be one area that can produce some giant bucks.
