JFW Ranch Consulting, LLC (JFWRC) offers a wide range of hunting options to the New Mexico hunter for elk, antelope, deer, Barbary sheep, and bighorn sheep. Outfitted and/or guided public land or private land hunts are available. They guide hunters that have drawn a tag as well as those looking to purchase a private hunt on a guaranteed landowner tag on quality private property. JFWRC even offers a unique option with the outfitter sponsored drawing that most outfitters do not. This is called the SB196 semi-guided hunt. "They will customize their hunt to meet your needs, not theirs."
Though hunts are offered throughout the state, they specialize in elk hunting in trophy units 13, 15, 16A, 16B, 16C, 16D, 16E, 17 and 34. Landowner tags are available at reasonable prices in GMU 53; a physically demanding unit, with good bulls if you're willing to work. JFWRC also guides deer hunters in many areas of the state. However, specialization also applies to the Unit 2 areas for deer. Pronghorn are hunted on private ranches and via the public draw tags. If you're looking for a quality Barbary Sheep hunt, they also offer those on some of the best private land in New Mexico. Jesse Novak manages the Bighorn Sheep hunting at JFWRC. He spends countless days searching the Peloncillos, Caballos, and Hachets. He knows the haunts of Wheeler and Latir. Draw this coveted tag, hunt with Jesse and JFWRC and you will have the Bighorn hunt experience of your lifetime.
Lodging options vary depending on location and hunter preference. Some hunts are based out of a comfortable cabin while others are tent camps set near to the deer and elk. There are even options for a motel stay if that is what you want.
Jim and Kelly sub-contract to a variety of guides with vast experience in the units they hunt and with the weapons they use. This insures that each hunter will be paired with a guide possessing the knowledge and experience necessary to maximize the opportunities for success. This is proven by a look at the photos below and in the various galleries on the JFW Ranch Consulting website. Trophy quality bucks and bulls are plentiful in these photos.
If a New Mexico elk, deer or pronghorn hunt is in your plans, give Jim or Kelly at JFW Ranch Consulting a call. There is no doubt that they have a hunt that will fit your goals and expectations.
